Kandersteg is a delightfully quiet unspoilt little village with
lovely local walks and easy access to Thun Interlaken etc and even the Valais (Zermatt etc).
Very little seems the have changed in the past 34 years,
even the shops seem to have the same stock in them, cuckoo clocks and cowbells.
Only the chair lift from stock to Sunnbuhl seems to have gone replaced by a cablecar that goes all the way.
They've snuck in a major change to the Hotel Bernerhof but that's about all.
They seem to be undertaking a major push on holiday homes though, so that might all change !.
